Africa Countries Map Quiz. You will be shown a blank outline map of Africa and be given a country name. You must click on the correct country. You may ask for help. The quiz begins with 49 questions. Many other quizzes are available at this site.

African Geography Quizzes from Triviaplaza (some banners)
Several categories of quizzes. One which is unusual is the "shapes" quiz. This has 10 questions where the shape is shown and you click on the correct text name from a list of four. Automatic scoring. At another page on the same site the whole continent is shown. Each country is outlined and one is shown in color. User is to select the correct name of the country from a list of four.

What Is The Capital? This excellent site contributed by Alwyn Botha of Hartbeespoort, South Africa. The site contains lists of capital cities from all over the world, the USA 50 states, and 1200 quizzes on those cities. DRAG AND DROP QUIZ ON AFRICA (from Maps.Com)
This self scoring drag and drop quiz will appeal to students who work better with image memory and manipulation than they do with text memory. Very well done.

Test Your Geography Knowledge This site has a clickable map of the world. Click on Africa. Users are provided a map and questions about where places are located. Very similar to the Africa Countries Map Quiz above

.maps.com Learn and Play Africa Quiz This site offers five parts to the quiz. One is the major physical features of Africa, the others are the countries by compass region. The user will drag names to their correct boxes on the maps. The user checks their own score.

ThinkQuest Africa Quizzes This site has a quiz for elementary levels as well as for high school and adults. The topics of the quizzes are: African People; Land; Wildlife. Take the multiple choice test by clicking in small circles. It is possible to be on a high scores list. Users are asked to leave their email addresses so others can contact them.

beta4Africa This site has a basic quiz on the main page. However, look at the menu on the left. You can get almanac style information on any of the African countries by clicking on the country name in the scrollable menu.

gamequarium Africa Quizzes This site appears to be designed more for middle and elementary school age students. However, it has several nice quizzes on several African topics.

National Geographic World Brainteasers: Africa A nice, easy, eight question quiz with clear directions. When an answer is selected, the user gets immediate feedback and additional information abou the topic.

Nassim's GeoQuiz This graphics laden site has a quiz where you simply click to reveal the answer. There are two parts. The pictures are nice, but are unrelated to the quiz.

Ancient Africa Quiz This site is nice in that it provides text reading on a variety of Ancient Africa topics as well as a 25 question quiz. Users click on an answer and get immediate feedback as well as a brief explanation. Nicely done.

Africa Today This site was created by the same person who created the Ancient Africa Quiz (above).

Sub-Saharan Africa Quiz: Countries, Physical Geography, Outline Map. The user reads questions in a frame on the left and then clicks on a map at the right. The answer for the place clicked appears at the bottom left of the screen.

Geography by Physical Features (Bodies of Water, Glaciers, Mountains, Deserts, Islands, Rivers) This site does not focus on Africa, but it is off beat enough to be interesting and useful.

Egypt online Jigsaw Puzzle
The puzzle is a photo in front of the pyramids. Not very educational, but entertaining. Drag the pieces into place. A picture is shown. User may choose difficulty (large or smaller puzzle pieces).
